Here’s What Others Have to Say About Dr. Rice

I came to see Dr. Rice in January 2013, with degenerative arthritis in my right hip. I had extreme pain radiating down my leg to my knee and foot. I had been unable to walk more than a few minutes for three weeks before coming into the office. I took Aleve or ibuprofen to help with the pain

Carpenter DianeDr. Rice performed a complete examination and recognized the degenerative condition and recommended I get x-rays of my hip when I go back north and have insurance coverage.

After several weeks of acupuncture, chiropractic care and nutritional changes the pain went from a 9/10 to a 1-2/10! I can walk twenty minutes without pain now.

Although, I am looking forward to getting back to Pittsburgh, I will miss the wonderful care I have been receiving here.

I first came to see Dr. Rice in February 2011, because my doctor told me I had high blood pressure and low testosterone and put me on two medications. I was only 24 years old at the time!

After reading Kevin Trudeau’s book, “Natural Cures They Don’t Want You to Know About” I decided to try an alternative approach. I was a bit skeptical at first, but when I first came to the Wholistic Health Center I was certain I would be helped.

Within a short time, I was off ALL the medications and feeling well. Now I continue to come in for a “tune up” regularly.

Dr. Rice helped my mother with her sinus problem, too.

olson-bI am a PGA Golf Professional. I make my living teaching, facilitating and sometimes playing the game of golf. For a number of years I have suffered with two, sometimes debilitating, physical conditions, which are not uncommon, lower back pain and joint pain. Getting up and out in the morning was a real chore. Not good for anyone, but it’s even worse when your livelihood depends on you being very active.

I have a severely herniated disc in my lower back. I don’t know how long I’ve had the condition but it has been a problem for a couple of decades. When I have had flair-ups, my doctor treated me with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and he would recommend physical therapy. Each had a modest positive effect on reducing the pain but neither eliminated it. My last visit to this doctor ended with a rather bleak outlook. He didn’t want to continue with the drugs and neither did I. He didn’t think the problem was severe enough the warrant surgery so the physical therapy was about it. I knew it was helping, so I continued with this, on my own. For the most part, I was able to stay ahead of the pain.

After my last episode with my back, a few months ago, I started treatments with Dr. Rice. The results have been remarkable. My back problem is virtually non-existent. I still have a little stiffness early in the morning but no pain. My flexibility is returning, which is a very good thing.

The second condition I have is a severely damaged ankle. It was broken several decades ago and has been a problem ever since with constant pain and swelling and very little flex/extension range of motion. Often I couldn’t put any weight on the ankle at all. Not good. Although I went to Dr Rice because of my back problem, the improvement in my ankle has been a very nice surprise. I don’t know if there is any difference in the range of motion but there is virtually no pain. Very often I had to wear some sort of ankle brace just to get around. I still wear an ankle support from time to time but it is only precautionary.

When I tell people how good I feel, they think I’m exaggerating. People who have known me and have seen me at my worst know how much of an improvement there is. Whenever someone I know complains about aches and pains, I tell them my story and how I have been helped. Then I tell them to go see Dr. Rice.

I hope this provides an incentive to at least try this approach.

Alice HodachI first came to see Dr. Rice for very stubborn Sciatica and deteriorating low back disk problem that caused numbness in my entire right leg and pain in the upper left leg. I could not walk or stand for any period of time without pain. My general practitioner (MD) recommended acupuncture.

I already saw an orthopedic surgeon who prescribed prednisone and anti-inflammatories  with possibly future surgery.

I don’t like taking drugs and didn’t want spinal shots, and wanted my body to heal itself naturally. I also had been seeing a chiropractor regularly.  Dr. Rice encouraged me to keep up with my adjustments while under his care.

Dr. Rice explained that due to the degeneration I would have to be patient and progress might be slow. I was 80% pain free and feeling healthier within six months.

If you are willing to make a commitment and not expect instant results I would highly recommend acupuncture and chiropractic treatments.

I would add that Dr. Rice and his staff were very attentive to my needs and very professional.

Thank you.

I came in to see Dr. Rice for back pain, headaches, sinus congestion and a lack of mental alertness. I have bulging disks, nerve damage in my neck, rotator cuff damage, chronic arthritis, and muscle spasms. I have tried occupational and physical therapy in the past. I like that Dr. Rice treats the body as a whole, which it is. Too many MDs compartmentalize the human body and treat symptoms instead of healing. He also taught me stretching exercises, recommended yoga and adding Probiotics to my supplement regime. This is a lifestyle for me.
